The Mayor of Adalar opened a banner under the sea saying “Freedom for İmamoğlu”

Following the seabed cleaning event held yesterday, Adalar Mayor Ali Ercan Akpolat opened a banner in the depths of the Marmara Sea saying “Freedom for İmamoğlu”.
Akpolat noted the following:
“With the sea cleaning dive we carried out in Kireçburnu, I not only protected nature but also the will of the people. The ‘Freedom for İmamoğlu’ banner I opened underwater is not just a wish; it is a conscientious call rising from all corners of this country. Just as we said ‘Full Speed Ahead’ underwater before the 2024 elections, we are calling out with the same determination today: Justice and democracy will come to this country again.”
Akpolat stated that this symbolic action was carried out for all the mayors, public officials and bureaucrats who have been arrested recently, as well as drawing attention to the pressures on CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, and noted the following:
“This action is a symbolic call for solidarity, especially for our IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu; however, our message is not only to him, but also to all mayors, our fellow travelers and public officials who have been unjustly arrested. The freedom of all of us is possible by defending the will of the people. We cannot turn our backs on lawlessness, usurpation of will, and the voices of millions that are being silenced. We will make it heard, even if it is from underwater, and we will shout it out loud: Freedom for İmamoğlu, respect for the will of the people.”
